What is DRIVAR?
DDRIVAR is a digital car sharing platform on which vehicle owners can offer their sports car, luxury car or classic car and users can rent their dream car. DRIVAR also ensures that the rental process runs smoothly and provides suitable insurance packages
Do all cars belong to DRIVAR?
All vehicles on the DRIVAR platform belong to completely different vehicle owners. However, before publishing them on our platform, we manually check the seriousness of the owner and whether the vehicle has the legally required insurance.
Can I rent a car at DRIVAR even if I have not reached the minimum age?
Yes, we offer optional special “Young Driver Insurance” for certain vehicles. We will be happy to tell you which vehicles these are in your region on request.
Do I need to pay a security deposit?
Yes, you will find the amount of the deposit in the respective vehicle advertisement. In most cases, this can be paid in cash or by credit card.
How can I pay for the rental price?
You can pay the rental price in cash, by EC card or credit card when you pick up the vehicle.
When can I pick up the car and when is the latest dropoff?
We will try to accommodate you as much as possible. Please let us know your preferred times. A daily rental is for a maximum of 24 hours and a weekend rental is from Friday to Monday morning.
Where exactly is the car located?
You can find the city or region in which the vehicle is located directly in the vehicle advertisement. Please understand that we do not publish exact address details for security reasons.
Are there any additional costs?
The price shown in the respective vehicle advertisement is already the final price. Some vehicles may be more expensive on weekends (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) than during the week. Further additional costs may arise if you book or drive more kilometers or wish to take out additional insurance. Gasoline costs are not included in the rental price.
When do I get the exact pickup location?
As soon as the vehicle has been successfully reserved for you, you will of course receive all the address and contact information required for collection.
What is the maximum deductible in case of an accident?
The amount of the excess varies from vehicle to vehicle and will be communicated to you in advance during the reservation process. You also have the option of further reducing the amount of the excess with the help of additional insurance.
Can I postpone my reservation in case of any bad weather?
No, postponement due to unsuitable weather is not normally possible. An exception to this is if the weather conditions are so bad that the respective landlord agrees to postpone the date.
What are the cancellation costs?
Cancellation costs are between 25 and 100%, depending on the rental rate selected when making the reservation. You will receive an overview of all rental rates from us when you make your reservation.
Can you deliver the car to address of my choice?
Yes, this is possible on request. We will be happy to inform you of the exact price of the delivery costs once we have received your exact desired address.
